Description:
Your child will develop sport-specific skills in our focused cheerleading camp. This effective Skyhawks Sports camp
is appropriately competitive for kids ages 6-8. All the fundamental skills of cheerleading are taught through easily
understood and applicable games and exercises that increase the athlete’s abilities. Coaches focus on skills to lead
the crowd and support the team while preparing for competition. Each athlete will learn Skyhawks Sports cheers, as
well as the proper hand and body movements and jumping techniques that make cheering the competitive sport it is today.
Each week concludes with a choreographed performance and perhaps a chance to cheer at a Skyhawks Sports football or basketball tournament!
Ability:
At the beginner ability level, kids learn fundamentals and more about sports. Emphasis is placed on
understanding the rules and etiquette of the game through creative and constant participation. Skill
development is taught through an introduction of drills, skill-building exercises, and scrimmages.
Limited prior experience is helpful. A desire to build a sport foundation is a plus.
Included With Purchase:
White T-shirt, Pom-Poms and merit award. New For 2009. Shirts must be ordered by size at www.skyhawks.com in advance of a Skyhawks

Testimonials:
I thought that the program was very well run. But the thing that I was most impressed with was the interaction between the coaches and
the girls attending camp. I thought that they made Alex feel welcomed by acknowledging her when she came through the door at the start
of camp. I also thought that the coaches’ knowledge of cheerleading was excellent!! Thanks for a great camp!!!

Thank you for making this a very fun and enjoyable experience for my daughter. She loved all the coaches and just raved about her day when
she got home. I hope you will have cheerleading here again in the near future as she shows a very high interest in that.
